Not Every Photo Shoot is a Success

One of the categories for the Western Idaho Fair is “Reflections.” I love the amazing effect of a reflect in an unexpected – or even expected – surface so I have tried on several occasions to try to capture a fair worthy reflection photo. I haven’t succeeded.

But this week Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge is “Corners,” so I went back to a photo shoot this summer where I was trying to find some reflections and instead found some corners.

One in particular: this beautiful moment when a Canada Goose was landing on the corner of a rock.

I didn’t intend to make it black & white, but it turns out it works fairly well in black & white.
