Midsummer – Bold Flowers Part One

I was so amazed at the bold colors and shapes of the midsummer flowers.

I started in the rose garden so I was not very impressed, at first. Most of the roses were past their prime but I did snap some shots of some small, two-toned roses.

Then I wandered up to the next stone walkway and found bold shapes and bright colors and started being impressed. Unfortunately, I did not do justice to the final flower in this set of photos. This pale pink flower looks somewhat ordinary… but it’s as big as my head, and I took too close of a shot, there’s no perspective. If you can imagine, the cluster of flowers in the foreground has the diameter of a tennis ball… don’t know if that helps or not.
