Happiness is an Unexpected Compliment

At one of the recent meets there was a traveling gym whose coach was Bulgarian. One of Em’s teammates is Bulgarian and the parents know these Bulgarian coaches well enough to invite them over for dinner when they visit our town.

After the meet Em said that she got a compliment from the Bulgarian coach. After she got done with her floor routine he came over to her and said, “I like your music.” She thought that was really cool.

After all the trouble we went to over the summer to pick that music, I’m glad it’s getting noticed and noticed for the right reasons.

She and I noticed some of her competitor’s music because they had the same music. Not the right reason to get noticed.
